The green board and the red have the same standby of approximately 30ma. Adding the MultiConnect to a red control board will add an additional 30ma. Best practice when adding the MultiConnect and using solar would be to use a deep cycle marine type battery. It could also be necessary to add a 30 panel if shade is an issue.
