Arm making clunking sound when attached to gate, but extends and retracts when detached from gate. Heavy Duty Single Automatic Gate Opener Kit - TSS1
We recently had some strong winds in hurricane Milton, but the gate was operating normally afterwards. When I disconnect the arm from the gate, it seems to extend and retract normally, however, when connected to the gate, it makes a clunking sound, and does not have enough power to move the gate. The gate does swing normally. My wife had disconnected it without telling me, and I used the remote a few times which may have allowed the arm to twist / unscrew. Any procedure I should try, or has it possibly stripped the gears inside the arm? Model TSS1MA.
