how far can I put another 6x6 post away from the arm to place the equipment?(security reasons)

The gate operator's arm comes with 6 feet of cable. This cable cannot be extended or spliced. The control box must be mounted close enough to allow this cable to be wired in. The solar panel can be extended up to 100 feet from the control box using 16 gauge stranded low voltage wire.
