If you find your bracket is sliding, the additional hole is there so you can add a set xxxx or through-bolt to further secure your bracket to the gate.
Gate operator tube brackets are sliding
I have installed your gate operator kit on a standard 16' Behlen tube gate and cannot seem to get the tube brackets tight enough to stop the brackets from sliding on the tube. Can the extra hole be used to through-bolt the bracket onto the gate to stop this problem?
