All openers that don't include a solar panel in the kit can charge with either solar or AC. These kits come with an AC transformer to plug into your electrical outlet. To complete your setup, you'll need 16 gauge stranded low voltage wire and either the ABBT2 battery box kit or a 12-volt deep cycle battery of your own.
