Here is an article on Gate and Gate opener routine maintenance. We do not require it that often unless the operator is in a harsh environment. We prefer a thin coating of white Lithium grease.
Does the opener arm ever need lubrication as part of routine maintenance? Solar Heavy Duty Single Automatic Gate Opener Kit - TSS1XP
Another vendor recommended lubricating their opener arm with food grade silicon lubricant once every few months or so. What is your recommendation?
