What do you suggest for mounting an adapter on a 6 inch pressure treated wooden post?

We are using 6 inch pressure treated posts on a Kentucky farm fence and want to mount the gate opener off this post.

If the gate post is a square 6x6 we suggest you through bolt the hardware that came in your kit. if it is a round post you may consider cutting a notch to create a flat spot to mount the post mount included in your kit. In either case the AX4R is not recommended to be used.
