Is there a way to manually open the gate if the gate opener is not working if there is not enough solar charge?

yes, turn the system off and remove the front mount pin on the gate opener and swing the arm away from the gate. Make sure to secure the clevis pin back to the front mount to make sure it does not get lost or misplaced.
