Our systems do have a soft start and stop but we don't recommend them on gates smaller than 5' because it may create more than 40lbs of force on the leading edge and is not designed for pedestrian traffic.

Hi there. I have a very small gate (48" wide) that I am looking to automate. I am interested in a system that has a variable speed open and close feature. Meaning, the gate will ramp up and down as it approaches fully open and full closed positions. Do yo offer anything like this?
